On at least the 1949 and possibly 1950 cars, it looks like oil filler/engine breather cap inserts directly onto cast iron filler neck instead of into a steel base that sits inside. Some areas still have the original dark blue Cadillac engine paint. Collar of filler neck is machined and unpainted. Theres also a 3 cast next to fuel pump mounting area, but I don't know if that has any significance. And it also looks like the 1951 and up Cadillac's use a different oil filler cap/engine breather assembly that's reason why end of neck is. Please see my other listings for Cadillac parts and more.

Fuel pump mounting threads look to be in good condition. I don't have a parts manual for these cars to check conclusively. Condition: Used part, but in very good condition; pretty clean too.
